What are they made from?
Green Skye wraps are handcrafted in the Suffolk countryside and made from organic fabric, natural beeswax, pine resin and jojoba oil.
What can they be used to wrap? Which size should I buy?
Green Skye Beeswax wraps can be used to wrap almost anything including fruit and vegetables, sandwiches, loaves of bread, bowls and plates.
How should they be cleaned?
Rinse under cool water and clean with a mild soap using a sponge, cloth or your hand. Make sure to not use hot water as the wax may melt.
How long do they last?
If take care of, the wraps should last at least a year. After that time they may begin to become grainy or not stick as well as they once did. To fix this, simply heat the oven to 150 Celsius, place the wrap on a sheet and let the wax re-melt for 1-2 minutes, quickly peel off the sheet and the wrap should be good as new.
Once the wrap finally does reach the end of its life, as it is all natural it is 100% home compostable!
How shouldn't they be used?
- Don't use directly on raw meat. Instead place meat in a bowl and cover the bowl with the wrap.
- Don't put in the microwave as the wax will melt.
